Nizpro's tunes stay inside the engine's design envelope and are reversible to the OEM calibration at any time, but we always recommend talking to your local Yamaha dealer about your individual situation. A minimum of 89-octane US pump fuel is required to run any Nizpro performance tune safely. Premium (91+) is fine and won't hurt anything. Regular 87-octane is not approved — running lower-octane fuel can cause knock and undo the gains the tune is designed to deliver.
Most ECU reflashes are completed the same day. The actual flash takes under an hour — most of the appointment is diagnostics, baseline data logging, and a road test afterward. Plan on a few hours start to finish. Larger installs or troubleshooting can take longer.
Yes. The Nizpro flash can be reverted to the original Yamaha OEM calibration at any time. If you sell the boat, change your mind, or need to take the engine to a Yamaha dealer for unrelated service, we can put it back to factory.
